Anita Keegan

I moved from Southern California about two years ago. Although I have wanted to be an artist since I was eight years old, earning a living was paramount. Married, and with my children now grown, I started learning to paint in oils with Lorene Caywood at her Capitan studio for two years, and recently, I attended one of Ann Templeton’s workshops. My subjects are landscapes and wildlife of this area. Having now discovered “plein air”, or open air, painting, I intend to do more of this in the future, and I also work in pastels and watercolor. I wake up every morning and still cannot believe I get to live in paradise and do what I love.
