Adams has been painting and drawing for most of her life. Educated in fine arts at Los Angeles City College, Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles, and New Mexico State University, she began her professional career with appliquéd wall hangings, selling her work at art and craft fairs throughout California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Her work appears in museums and private collections throughout the Southwest. Moving to New Mexico in 1978, her work began to reflect the southwestern landscape and native animals of that area. She began painting river rock and sandstone in the 1980’s. She also paints on canvas, wood, masonite, and paper. Her work also reflects ancient rock art from around the world.
